Chess Club Starts Tuesday

Cchess-langley2hess Club starts this week! Students in Grades 1-6 will meet in room 305 at lunch to start chess for the year.

Tuesday – 11:35-Noon – Grades 4 and 3 English

Wednesday – Noon-12:25 – Grades 1, 2, 3 French

Thursday – 11:35-Noon – Grades 5 and 6

 

Ride 4 MQP

Together with our school council we have launched our first ever Ride 4 MQP Spin Class Fundraiser to be held at bespoke cycle on Saturday, November 4th. This will be a great way to get together as a school community.
Be sure to make an effort to join in the fun while having and great workout! We are looking forward to your support!

Updated! Catchment Review: Message from the NLESD District

UPDATE – The last date for online feedback has been updated to Oct. 31st. 

Parents/Guardians:
As the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District continues its review of the Mary Queen of Peace Elementary and East Point Elementary school attendance zones, you are reminded that the deadline to provide feedback on the options presented is approaching. Online feedback will be accepted until end of day Monday, October 23, 2017.

Jamarama Day!

Mary Queen of Peace will be taking part in the Janeway Jamarama Day on Friday, Oct. 20th. Students can wear pjs to school for the day, and are asked to bring in a donation for the Janeway.

It should be a very comfy day.

No School on Wednesday

Due to a teacher professional learning day, there will be no school for students on Wednesday, Oct. 18th.

School will resume at its normal time on Thursday. It will be day 3 on the cycle.

No School for Students Friday

Don’t forget, due to a Teacher Professional Development day there will be no school for students on Friday.

There won’t be school on Monday either, for the Thanksgiving Day Holiday.

School will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 10th. It will be Day on the cycle.
