MQP will be taking part in the Telegram’s Spelling Bee this year! Classes from grades 4-6 will partake and students are encouraged to participate if they wish. Study words were distributed to each grade level, so students should review these before their class bee. Each class will choose two finalists to be determined by January 19th. Please check with your classroom teacher on when your class bee will be. The classroom finalists will then participate in a school bee during lunchtime on January 24th and 25th. Good luck to all!

MQP is again pleased to offer its 18th Annual MQP Winter Soccer League. There will be a limited registration for children in each grade level for a league that will start on Friday, January 11th, 2018 and run until Saturday, April 1st, 2018 (11 weeks). As always, the program requires coaches for teams and older students and alumni as referees. Registration fees will cover the cost of team t-shirts, indoor soccer balls, referee fees and other incidentals to support the program. Please note that we cannot offer this program without parents who are willing to volunteer their time, approximately 60 minutes per week, to coach a team and fill in when necessary to referee. Coaching tips, drills, etc. will be provided. Games will be played on Friday evenings starting at 5:30 PM until 9:30 PM (Grades 3-4 and 5-6) and will continue on Saturday from 11:00 AM until 3:30 PM (Grades k and 1-2). All times are tentative and will be affected by # of players in each group.
Info, team lists/schedules will be found at the League website: www.mqpsoccer.webstarts.com
