We may not have to worry about slipping on ice anymore, but you still don’t want to lug that flute around if you don’t need to during June.

Also, the Band Concert will take place on June 11th at 7pm in the Mary Queen of Peace Gym.
There are still a few Alice tickets on sale at the school. They are $10 each, and will be available until Thursday morning.
Students participating in the musical are reminded that they need their full costumes every day this week.
The show takes place on Thursday night. Doors open at 7pm, and the show starts at 7:30pm. Students ensemble are asked arrive before 6:30pm, and the cast before 6:20pm.
Mary Queen of Peace students had a great time at the Ultimate Newfoundland Elementary level tournament this weekend! Students from Gr. 4, 5 and 6 all took part in a great competition and had a lot of fun. Thanks to Mr. Keenan, Mme Byrne, and Mr. Walter for organizing.
This Friday is Ice Cream Day! The ice cream for the month of May is a delicious Polar Bar! As always, ice cream is $1 and will be served at recess time.
There will be no school this Monday due to the Victoria Day Holiday! School will resume on Tuesday at the regular time. It will be Day 2 on the cycle. We hope everyone has a great weekend, and hopefully there will be good weather too!
Last year, our Department of Education and Early Childhood Development launched new school development surveys. These new surveys replaced the previous school development and school climate surveys. All surveys are to be completed online. We are asking our families to please make an effort to complete these surveys by Friday, June 1st. Here is the link:
The last professional learning session for teachers at Mary Queen of Peace takes place on Friday, May 11th. As a result there will be no school for students on Friday. School will resume on Monday, May 14th. Monday will be Day 4 on the cycle.
