Online Registration for Kindergarten for September 2019 (Kinderstart for September 2018) will begin in May 2018 for both the English and Early French Immersion programs. For the Avalon Region, online registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 and remain open until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2018.
Children must be five years of age on or before December 31, 2019 in order to register.
Please note this registration process is for children who will attend Kinderstart in the upcoming 2018-2019 school year and Kindergarten in the 2019-2020 school year. Children registered in Kinderstart will automatically be registered to attend Kindergarten in September 2019.
Also noteworthy, Early French Immersion (EFI) is an optional program in designated schools throughout the District. Registration is accepted on a first-come, first served basis for a limited number of seats. Further details pertaining specifically to Early French Immersion are included below.
It is May! Time for the band schedule to be released. It was no treble to get it done on time, and it would be a major inconvenience if you brought the wrong instrument to school on the wrong day.

The last kinderstart session of the year will take place on Friday, April 27th. It is the last day for our new kinderstart students to visit Mary Queen of Peace before they begin attending next year as Kindergarten students!
As a result of this session regular kindergarten students will not be attending school that day. They will resume school on Monday, April 30th. (Which is also Friendship Fruit Salad Day!)
Our next ice cream day is Friday, April 27th. The treat will be Polar Bars. It might even be hot enough that you might need the ice cream to cool off! (We hope!)
The kindergarten students will be having their ice cream day on Thursday, April 26th. The 27th is the last kinderstart session and our regular kindergarten students will not be on school that day.
Our final Kinderstart Session is scheduled for Friday, April 27th. There will be an information session for parents/ caregivers while the children attend kinderstart. We encourage you to attend.
As a result of course, there will be no classes for regular kindergarten students. They will return to school on Monday, April 30th, which will be Day 1 on the cycle.
